Torque reaction arms TRA-C & TRA-CP

TRA Torque Reaction Arm (C)arbon (P)ositioning

Torque supports which were used in former times were mostly unhandy and safety-critical. Whereas with the carbon arm there is no danger of jamming if the applied torque is suddenly reached. The weight of the screwdriver is absorbed by an appropriate balancer.

In the meantime, the carbon telescopic torque supports can be used for position monitoring. Up to 3 rotary encoders can be used modularly for this purpose, depending on the monitoring task. The screwdriving processes can be monitored completely. The screwdriving sequence and total counts of the screw assemblies ensure the quality independent of the manufacturer. Our SPC-Com system with many options is available for position monitoring.

TRA-C & TRA-CP Torque-Reaction Arms

TRA-C

The carbon arm can be extended telescopically and can be swivelled in 2 axes. Weight compensation by means of a balancer is necessary up to 5.1 kg as standard. (from 5.1 second balancer necessary). Torque absorption up to 200 Nm max.

  • Joint flange for direct connection to horizontal or vertical profiles.
  • High stiffness and easy handling with minimum dead weight.
  • Absorption of the reaction moments of working machines.
  • High freedom of movement, therefore screw points, which are difficult to access, can be processed easily and without fatigue
  • Short delivery times
  • Payload adjustable maintenance free

TRA-CP

Carbon arm with max. 3 integrated encoders. The torque arm can be extended telescopically and can be swiveled in 2 axes. Weight compensation by means of a balancer is possible up to 5.1 kg. The pull rope runs inside the carbon arm. Torque absorption up to max. 200 Nm possible.

Configuration Overview

Application possibility 1

Vertical screwing with a rod screwdriver.

Fixed position connection of the carbon arm to the vertical profile, horizontally extendable. The weight is taken up by a balancer, which can be moved horizontally on a roller rail.

Application possibility 2

Vertical screwing with an angle screwdriver.

Attachment of the tool support arm to the vertical profile, horizontally extendable. The weight is taken up by a balancer, which can be moved horizontally on a roller rail.

Application possibility 3

Horizontal screwing with an angle screwdriver.

Fixed position connection of the carbon arm to the horizontal profile, vertically extendable. The weight is measured with a balancer.

Application possibility 4

Horizontal screwing with a rod screwdriver.

Screw connection of the carbon support to the horizontal profile, vertically extendable. The weight is measured with a balancer.

Application possibility 5

Horizontal screwing with an angle screwdriver.

Fixed position connection of the carbon arm to the horizontal profile, vertically extendable. The weight is measured with a balancer.

Application possibility 6

Horizontal screwing with an angle screwdriver.

Mounting of the telescopic arm on the horizontal profile, vertically extendable. The weight is measured with a balancer.

Possible Use 7

Carbon arm movable.

Attach the telescopic arm to a rail.

3 degrees of freedom: 1x swivel, 1x pull-out, 1x horizontal movement.

Weight is measured with a balancer.
